About

I believe deeply that each of us is worthy and capable of creating a life that is intentional and authentically our own. My philosophy integrates Feminist, Emotion-Focused, and Family Systems theories. While Feminist theory aims to bring awareness to the various external factors that play a role in identity formation, Emotion Focused therapy helps us understand how fundamental our emotions are to that identity, and how avoiding them can create major sticking points. With this understanding, working through the lens of Family Systems Theory, it becomes more clear of how we can be both a product and perpetuator of our individual struggles. I believe that through compassionate self-inventory and somatic intervention we are able to figure out who we are, what we want, and how to better align our behaviors with our goals – whatever they may be.
