1. What This Directory Is

The Oregon Counselor Directory ("we," "our," "the Directory") is a platform connecting people seeking mental health support with licensed providers. We are not a healthcare provider, and listing on this directory does not constitute an endorsement or referral.

2. Who Can Join

Provider profiles are available to licensed or associate-level mental health professionals actively practicing in the applicable state or jurisdiction. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You hold a valid professional license or are supervised under one
• The information you provide is accurate and current
• You will keep your profile updated or request removal if your status changes

3. Your Profile

You own your profile data. Specifically:

• You can delete your profile at any time — one click from your dashboard, no questions asked
• You can request a data export — email us and we'll send everything we have
• You can edit your information — your dashboard gives you full control
• Shadow profiles: Placeholder listings from public data. Claim for ownership or contact for removal.

4. Free & Paid Tiers

A free listing is available at no cost. Paid tiers offer enhanced visibility and features. Subscriptions auto-renew and can be canceled anytime through your dashboard. No refunds for partial billing periods.

5. Contact & Inquiry System

When someone contacts you through the directory, we relay their message to your email. We do not store the content of these messages beyond delivery confirmation. Your actual email address is never shown to the public.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not misrepresent credentials, spam providers, scrape data for commercial purposes, or upload inappropriate content. We reserve the right to remove profiles for violations.

7. Limitation of Liability

This directory is provided "as is." We cannot guarantee listing accuracy. We are not liable for any interactions or outcomes between users and providers. Users should independently verify credentials through the Oregon Board.

8. Data License

By creating a profile, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use and distribute your profile information for the purpose of operating and marketing the directory. This license survives deletion in aggregate form.

9. Assignment & Transfer

We may assign or transfer our rights to any successor or acquirer. In the event of a sale or merger, your account data may be transferred to the new owner.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the directory constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
