Terms of Use

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Plain-English summary. We're a directory, not a clinic. Providers must hold a current Oregon license. We may use your public profile to market and showcase the directory unless you tell us not to. We are not responsible for the care you receive from listed providers. If you're in crisis, call 988 or 911.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, claiming a profile, or otherwise using Oregon Providers Directory ("Oregon Providers", "we", "us", or "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any policies referenced here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; the current version is always at this URL with the date above.

2. Not a Medical Service. Not a Crisis Service.

Oregon Providers is a directory and matching service. We do not provide medical care, mental-health treatment, diagnosis, advice, or referrals beyond surfacing licensed providers. Listings are not endorsements. Information on this site is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for the judgment of a licensed clinician. You are responsible for verifying credentials, current license status, insurance participation, and clinical fit directly with any provider before engaging their services.

If you are in crisis — thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harm to others; an active mental-health emergency — call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. Oregon Providers cannot respond to crisis communications.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you create a provider profile, you represent and warrant that you are a licensed mental-health, behavioral-health, or allied-health professional currently authorized to practice in Oregon under the credentials listed on your profile, and that you will keep that information accurate.

4. Account Registration & Verification

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to update it when it changes. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity under your account. We may verify your information against public Oregon licensing records and may suspend or remove accounts where information cannot be verified or appears falsified.

5. Marketing & Showcase Consent (You Can Opt Out)

By creating an account or claiming a profile, you grant Oregon Providers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to use your publicly visible profile information — your professional name, credentials, photo, city, specialties, modalities, languages, and bio — to:

  • display your profile to visitors of the Service;
  • showcase your profile in marketing materials, promotional content, social media posts, advertisements, search-engine result snippets, partner integrations, and aggregated industry reports;
  • generate share cards, link previews, and other derivative imagery referencing your profile so it can be linked and shared on the open web; and
  • use anonymous, aggregated statistics about provider listings (e.g., "{{count}} Oregon therapists offer telehealth").

This license covers only information you have made public on your profile. We will never publish private fields (your email, password, billing details, internal notes, or any client-side data submitted via the matching tool).

Opt-out: You can revoke marketing/showcase use at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Marketing opt-out." We will stop new uses within 7 business days; existing copies in printed or distributed materials may persist until naturally rotated.

6. Provider Profile Accuracy & Conduct

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, including license type, license number, areas of practice, insurance acceptance, fees, telehealth status, and contact information.
  • You agree to respond to client inquiries (leads) in a timely, professional manner, or to mark yourself unavailable.
  • You will not impersonate another provider, claim credentials you do not hold, or list services outside the lawful scope of your license.
  • You will not use the Service to solicit clients for any unlawful service, including any controlled substance not authorized under Oregon and federal law.

7. Shadow ("Community") Profiles

Some profiles are created from publicly available Oregon licensing data before the provider has claimed the page. Shadow profiles include only information available in public records. If a shadow profile is yours, you may claim it through the claim flow or request immediate removal at no cost by emailing [email protected] from the address on file with your licensing board.

8. Reviews

Approved client reviews are publicly visible on provider profiles. We moderate reviews for spam, harassment, and clear policy violations. We do not adjudicate clinical disputes. Providers may flag a review for review; we do not remove negative reviews simply because the provider disagrees with them.

9. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid provider plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You authorize automatic renewals at the listed price until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods. Free profiles remain free.

10. Acceptable Use

You will not: scrape, mass-download, or systematically copy directory data; use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages; attempt to access another user's account; introduce malware; reverse engineer or attempt to circumvent security; or use the Service in violation of any law. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access for any of the foregoing.

11. Intellectual Property

Site design, code, written content, and the Oregon Providers brand are owned by us. Provider-supplied content (your bio, photos, etc.) remains yours; you grant us the marketing/showcase license described in Section 5 to display and promote it.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that any provider listed is currently licensed, accepts new clients, accepts your insurance, or is a clinical fit for your needs.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oregon Providers, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any care, advice, or service obtained through a listed provider. Our aggregate liability for any direct claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oregon Providers and its operators from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party arising from (a) content you submit to the Service, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your interactions with clients or other providers.

15. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your public profile is removed; we may retain non-public data as required by law or our standard retention policy.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Where permitted, both parties waive the right to a jury trial; nothing in this section limits your rights under non-waivable consumer-protection laws.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by posting the new version with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

18. Contact

All questions about the Service, these Terms, privacy, billing, or marketing opt-outs go to [email protected]. This is the only email address we use for the directory.
