"Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place." — Zora Neale Hurston
I (she/they) self-identify as a non-binary, mixed race, able-bodied womxn, artist, activist, wellness practitioner, and Registered Associate Psychotherapist. I am also a mother, sister, seastar (queer sister), auntie, daughter, partner, wife, neighbor, friend, chosen family member, and your local creek side herbalist and witch in the woods.
I am of mixed European and African descent (including Irish, Scottish, French, British, Dutch, German, Belgian), Iberian (Spanish and Portuguese), and North African (Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian, Liberian) roots.
I am a queer refugee from San Antonio Texas, and was raised in an ethnically, racially, and spiritually diverse community (predominately Christian and mixed European and Latin-X) by a single mother in a Southern Baptist home.
Since then I have lived in San Francisco California, had extended stays in various parts of India and Europe, and now call Portland/Milwaukie Oregon my home. I have had the great privilege of traveling to many parts of the world, and long to travel and live abroad in greater frequency. I love to learn, witness, and meditate on life, living, dying, liberation, and the pursuit of art, truth, and goodness.
My therapy work is rooted in a deep belief that healing happens through real relationship—being seen, felt, and met with care over time. It is within these genuine, attuned connections that we soften, remember ourselves, and come to know true Belonging.
In my work, this means that rather than being neutral or distant, I am right there with you.
As an artist who lives slowly and simply, I bring a deliberate, reflective, and creative presence to my work. This way of being informs my therapy practice, inviting you into sessions that are spacious, grounded, and attentive to the rhythms of your body, mind, and spirit. I honor the whole human—mind, body, nervous system, creativity, relationships, history, ancestry, and environment—as inseparable and deeply interwoven aspects of well-being.
My sessions often include somatic attunement, off the cuff meditations, creative prompts and invitations, and experiential practices that support you in listening inward, expanding your capacity, and moving toward greater authenticity and aliveness. My work is also informed by a strong commitment to liberation psychology and collective healing, and the belief that we heal together, not in isolation.
I strive to show up in my practice with awareness of my own immense privilege and how it may arise in relationship. I have a lot to learn and heal in this lifetime. I aim to remain open, humble, and committed to learning and growing alongside you, creating a space of mutual respect, curiosity, and insight. I also deeply value learning from your wisdom and lived experience, and see therapy as a collaborative process where both of us can grow.
I envision and work toward a world that is sustainable and communal, where equity and justice prevail, where art and creativity are celebrated, and where humans live in a conscious, meaningful relationship with themselves, each other, and the earth.
I have stood, walked, (and run from teargas and rubber bullets), offered herbal medicine, protected native land, written, petitioned, published, and done public speaking in solidarity with BIPOC, LGBTQIAA2S+, disabled and alternatively-abled individuals, children, and low-income communities, and I identify as an intersectional feminist. My practice is gender-affirming, sex-positive, kink-positive, and rooted in body neutrality and trust.
I am currently accepting therapy clients living in Oregon as a Registered Associate Professional Counselor under supervision in private practice. All sessions are out-of-pocket using the Green Bottle scale. You can visit the payment page to learn more.
My supervisor is Nicci Ramsey, LPC. I meet with my compassionate, skilled, and experienced supervisor bi-monthly both individually and in community to discuss cases and “the work” and receive high quality professional support.
