Ethical Guidelines for Ketamine Clinicians

About this product

A 2-hour, on-demand CE course for licensed mental health professionals who provide or support ketamine-assisted therapy. Non-ordinary states of consciousness intensify vulnerability, transference and the power differential between therapist and client. The course addresses the ethical questions that follow: boundaries before, during and after ketamine sessions, informed consent as an ongoing process, and trauma-informed practice that protects client autonomy.

It works from clinical situations rather than abstract codes, and it closes with a plan for continued ethical accountability in a field that is changing quickly. Intermediate level. Taught by Peter H. Addy, PhD, LPC, LMHC. A free preview is on the course page.

Self-paced video home study. Psychedelic Affirming Education is an NBCC-approved continuing education provider (ACEP No. 7579). The course offers 2 CE hours on completion.
