Sarah Shute
Accepting new clientsAbout Sarah
I have the privilege of working with adolescents, adults, and individuals across the lifespan navigating mental health, substance use, neurodivergence, and life transitions. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported while developing practical skills, strengthening coping strategies, and working toward meaningful goals. As an LCSW and CADC III, I use a trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and client-centered approach, incorporating motivational interviewing to build trust, deepen self-understanding, and support lasting change. My work is grounded in a person-in-environment perspective, recognizing the ways relationships, culture, community, and larger systems shape our experiences. I provide culturally attuned, inclusive care that honors each client's unique story and strengths. My training includes substance use disorders, adoption competency, suicide prevention, and harm reduction. Together, we can create a safe space to better understand where you are, explore where you want to go, and take meaningful steps toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
