About Samantha
I am a telehealth therapist located in Portland, Oregon but also serving individuals in NY, Florida, Utah and Colorado with primary treatment focuses on disordered eating and body image, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and anxiety disorders. In my work with individuals struggling with disordered eating, I take a Health at Every Size approach, and work with individuals to develop skills of intuitive eating, mindfulness, building self-acceptance, and learning who you are outside of your body image struggles. I am not currently accepting new family therapy/couple clients, but do have space available for individual therapy.
In treating eating disorders, I specialize in finding body acceptance and a balanced relationship with food and body through an anti-diet, anti-intentional weight loss approach. I have also specialized in Exposure Response Prevention to support those struggling with social anxiety and OCD.
If you are ready and wanting change, I would be thrilled to support you. I hope to share my comfort, willingness and excitement to work with diverse cultural and racial backgrounds, as well as gender identities and sexual orientations. Finding the right therapist is a process, and I am happy to answer any questions to help determine if I am a good fit.
