About Ruth

Hello it is nice to meet you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost 12 years' experience supporting people with depression, anxiety, life transitions, childhood trauma, grief, parenting struggles, and problems with attention and motivation. My style is warm and nonjudgmental. I strive to meet you where you are at, and help you heal and change patterns that are holding you back. I tailor my approaches to my meet clients' needs although I lean toward being less directive and more collaborative. However I can be directive as needed for accountability when asked to do so. I draw from many different therapy styles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also like to assist clients with communication skill building by using role play scenerios to help with skill building and increasing confidence.
