About this product
A 1-hour, on-demand CE course for licensed mental health professionals involved in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) who need a working framework for the medical side of assessment. It covers the medical factors most relevant to KAP eligibility; the difference between absolute contraindications, relative risks and conditions that call for monitoring rather than exclusion; and dosing considerations across administration routes.
The course does not assume medical training, and it does not turn a therapist into a prescriber. It covers what a mental health professional needs to understand to support informed consent and to work well with the medical members of a KAP team. Intermediate level. Taught by Peter H. Addy, PhD, LPC, LMHC, and Lindsay Wilkinson, ND, LAc. It pairs with Part 2 – Psychological Assessment.
Self-paced video home study. Psychedelic Affirming Education is an NBCC-approved continuing education provider (ACEP No. 7579). The course offers 1 CE hour on completion.
