Online therapy across Oregon
Oregon has entire counties with a handful of therapists and waitlists measured in months. If you live in Burns, Lakeview, or Enterprise, the nearest EMDR-trained clinician may be a tank of gas away. Telehealth erases that map. BCB Therapy sees clients by secure video in Portland, Salem, Eugene, Medford, Ashland, and every town in between, from its home base in Bend.
A small practice, not an app
Online therapy has become a crowded market of subscription apps that assign you whoever is available. BCB Therapy is a small group founded in 2004: you choose a specific therapist, keep that therapist week after week, and get the same evidence-based treatment delivered in the Bend office, including CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, emotionally focused couples work, and HeartMath coaching. Randy Wild, the founder, and Jessica Couey both hold statewide telehealth caseloads.
How it works
Sessions run over a HIPAA-compliant video platform; a phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera is all you need, no software to install. Insurance covers telehealth the same way it covers office visits, and the practice is in network with PacificSource, Providence, Regence, BlueCross BlueShield, First Choice Health, and the Oregon Health Plan.
Is video therapy actually as good?
For most concerns, outcomes track in-person care closely, and for some people it works better: no commute, no waiting room, and the option to talk from wherever you feel safest. Couples in different cities can share one session from two screens. New parents can keep the baby monitor in view.
