Meghan's therapeutic approach centers on building an authentic client-therapist relationship grounded in attunement and presence, honoring each individual's wisdom as the expert on their life. Meghan is especially passionate about supporting people of all ages who are gender non-conforming and/or navigating chronic pain. Meghan also has experience supporting individuals struggling with self-harm and/or suicidal ideation.
Meghan believes in understanding the social contexts and systems we live in and the way who we are can shape so many aspects of our lives. She grounds her practice in mindfulness, slowing down, and being an active participant in choosing what is important to you and aligning your life with it. Her approach focuses on person-centered, trauma-informed, experiential therapies such as play therapy, movement-based nervous system regulation, and creative expression, supported by an understanding of brain development and neuroscience. She actively invites feedback throughout the therapeutic process to support each client's individual needs and to offer an inclusive and affirming space.
Meghan received her Master's degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark College. Her professional experiences span a range of services for youth, including supporting neurodivergent college students, focused therapeutic services for trans and gender non-conforming children and adolescents, school-based therapy, and suicide and self-harm crisis intervention services for youth online. Through these experiences, she has provided services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families across a wide range of challenges and has developed skills in navigating care within the school and medical systems. The overarching theme she has seen emerge in her work is the pain of disconnection and of feeling unseen, unheard, and unknown. She hopes to be a partner on your path toward connection to self, others, and that which brings meaning to your life.
In her free time, Meghan loves to pursue things that bring her closer to her personal values of connection, authenticity, and growth. You can find her climbing a rock wall, hiking in beautiful scenery, collecting funky earrings, diving into the rich world of a book, or generally being silly with her loved ones.
