About Saz
I’m Saz M. Madison, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment. My primary areas of focus include anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and helping people navigate significant life transitions and periods of stress.
My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people are capable of meaningful change. Drawing primarily from cognitive-behavioral and rational-emotive approaches, I help clients understand the connections among their thoughts, emotions, choices, relationships, and goals. I tend to view therapy as an active process: understanding how a problem developed can be important, but so is figuring out what we can do about it.
Psychological assessment is also an important part of my practice. When appropriate, assessment can help clarify complex questions about personality, emotional functioning, symptoms, and patterns that may be difficult to understand through conversation alone.
I particularly enjoy working with adults who are thoughtful and curious about themselves but also want therapy to lead somewhere. My goal is to create a relationship that is comfortable, candid, collaborative, and occasionally humorous while keeping our work focused on the changes that matter most to you.
