Matthew Lovett Tallman (He/Him)

Hello! My name is Matt Tallman, owner and founder of Broader Path Therapy in Portland Oregon. I'm a licensed clinical social worker supporting Oregonians as they uncover their inner strength. My background spans years of support including substance use recovery, HIV care, community mental health, IDD advocacy, hospice care, and religious trauma. These diverse spaces taught me how to walk alongside people as they grow and thrive.

I assist individuals in healing from religious trauma, spiritual abuse, and high-control group involvement, overcoming feelings of judgment to reclaim their strengths and authentic identities. I also support clients navigating loss, grief, and end-of-life issues for themselves or loved ones. Treatment involves a collaborative plan focused on grounding, identity rebuilding, and adaptive coping. My approach is secular and LGBTQ+ affirming.
