Howdy! Finding a therapist is hard. Some reasons you might want to work with me... 1) I focus on depth work. Meaning, I help unpack long-standing beliefs/feelings/behaviors and get to the good stuff, like better understanding your own inner world. 2) My specialties include: unpacking family-of-origin and childhood experiences, eating disorder recovery/body image, religious trauma, and couples/partner work. 3) I kick off my shoes (literally). In other words, I bring my authentic self to the room. You'll see my humor, curiosity, directness and warmth from the jump. I keep 3 beverages on my desk and the fidgets are for both of us.
I have specific training in the areas listed above, however each person is unique. You may be coming in because of increased anxiety at work, and we discover some beliefs that originated from childhood. We don't always know what we'll find, and usually end up on a colorful journey. This is the meaningful (and sometimes scary!) part of therapy.
I can help you hold all the things we unpack. You're not alone on this journey and I would be honored to 'go there' with you. This is a big step, so let's hop on the phone and see if it's a match. For curious minds, I also have a life outside the room. I'm a Great Dane mom, horse girl, micro-hobbyist, CrossFitter, and lifelong learner (nerd).
