About Rachel

Starting therapy is a vulnerable step, and Rachel Payne begins there: honoring the courage it takes to hand a stranger your story. She works with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families, meeting clients by video wherever they live in Oregon.

Rachel sees a wide range of struggles: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, divorce, eating issues, anger, and the transitions that upend a life midstream. Her toolbox draws on CBT, DBT, family systems and attachment theory, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and Brainspotting for trauma work.

Before entering clinical practice she spent fifteen years in church-based recovery and twelve-step ministry, experience that left her comfortable with people in genuine crisis. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for couples.
