About Alison

My primary tools, beyond our own relationship, is extensive training in Internal Family Systems therapy (Level 2 and then some), somatic techniques and EMDR. A wonderful image of where good therapy can lead is of a knitter transforming a pile of chaotic threads and snarled knots into something beautiful, intentional, and nurturing. The internal elements that create your experience of life can truly learn new stories to live in and be safely released from stories of fear, shame, and contraction. As your therapist, I will help you hold your commitment and courage by guiding your relationship with yourself at a pace that is sustainable yet brave, using tools that will help you lovingly meet and free your lifeforce from old survival strategies and step into a much more creative existence.
