Experiential Embodiment - a small somatic group practice
In 4, 90min sessions this virtual group experience will support participants to learn more about the central nervous system and apply that knowledge directly to your own embodiment through guided exploration and semi-guided play!
Each 90min session will consist of opening / grounding ritual, psychoeducation on the session’s topic (see below), guided and playful embodiment practice, short processing as a group, and closing ritual.
This is a ‘closed group’: there will be a set cohort that experiences the entire group together - you can expect no new people to attend, supporting the depth and intimacy of this exploration of the space.
Topics:
- AWARE: session 1 dives into the nervous system overview! including big picture ‘what is the central nervous system?’ as well as the much talked about vagus nerve - what it really is and what that means for you and your experiences in the world!
- ATTUNE: session 2 will explore different ways our bodies and brain take in, process, and learn from and throughout our lives. together we will study nervous system states, how our bodies communicate those, and what we can do with that information.
- EMBODY: session 3 is a space for all the curiosities and pondering of the previous sessions to unfold! Come with your curiosities! What has come up?! What has stuck out?! What do you want to dive even deeper into?! Let’s go there :)
- EMBRACE: session 4, the final session in this series, will attempt to put a lasso around the previous three sessions embodied knowledge and funnel all that was gathered toward an approach of radical, present moment acceptance.
