What is "therapy"?

Therapy isn’t meant to be the same for everyone.

But it is a space to slow down and be heard. A place where you don't have to have it all figured out, and it's learning to approach your thoughts and emotions wiht curiousity, not judgement.

Two people can walk into sessions with me with similar experiences. However, what they need, how they process, and what feels supportive can look completely different.

Therapy is making sense of patterns that no longer feel helpful. Therapy is having a space that is just for you. It's for exploring who you are and who you want to become.

Some people want structure and tools. Sometimes therapy is building tools to navigate life with more clarity and intention.

Some need space to slow down and make sense of things. Sometimes therapy is strengthing your relationship with yourself and others.

Some need both, at different times.

Therapy is moving towards change at your own pace.

There isn’t one “right way” to do therapy.
There’s only what feels meaningful, supportive, and aligned for you.

Accepting NEW Clients in person and via telehealth! Supporting adolescents, adults, families, and LGBTQIA+ clients navigating anxiety, identity exploration, communication challenges, and life transitions while building resilience and deeper self-understanding. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward, therapy can provide space to slow down, reflect, and begin making meaningful change. I often support clients with concerns such as stress and anxiety, self-esteem, empowerment, and the intersection of faith and spirituality with mental health. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from acceptance & commitment therapy, family systems perspectives, mindfulness, and other expressive modalities. I strive to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and affirming, where clients can explore identity, deepen insight, navigate transitions, and build resilience. If you are considering therapy, I welcome the opportunity to connect with you. Beginning this process can feel vulnerable, and it matters that the fit feels right. Please feel free to reach out for a brief consultation to explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
