Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Psychedelic Integration

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Psychedelic Integration

Healing rarely follows a straight path. Many feel a lingering ache even after conventional therapy—a sense of stagnation, pain that lives in the body, or a longing for something new. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic integration open doors to gentle exploration, offering hope in places where help once felt unreachable.

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines the therapeutic effects of ketamine — a legal, FDA-approved medicine — with intentional psychotherapy before, during, and after each medicine session. Unlike ketamine infusion clinics that focus primarily on the pharmacological effects, KAP treats the medicine session as one part of a larger therapeutic process.

Ketamine can suppress entrenched self-protective thinking, unlocking pathways to insight, emotional processing, and transformation when paired with skilled support.

I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and have conducted academic research on ketamine's effects on human consciousness. That background means I can meet you both as a scientist who takes the evidence seriously and as a clinician who understands that what happens in these experiences is deeply personal and often hard to put into words.

The Treatment Arc: Preparation, Medicine, Integration

KAP is not a single session — it's a process. Here's how that process unfolds:

Preparation

Before any medicine work begins, we meet for several sessions to build a therapeutic foundation. This includes a thorough assessment of your psychological, physical, social, and spiritual history; clarifying your intentions and what you're hoping to explore; identifying potential risks and developing safety plans; and establishing a relationship of trust and openness that will support you during medicine sessions.

Preparation shapes your medicine session. Mindset, intentions, and safety influence what unfolds.

Medical Evaluation

I work closely with a small group of experienced naturopathic physicians who can evaluate your medical history and, where appropriate, prescribe sublingual ketamine. I'll connect you with one of these trusted providers as part of the process.

Medicine Sessions

Medicine sessions occur in a calm, structured environment. I provide steady support throughout. Each session adapts to your intentions and needs—there is no single formula.

Integration

Integration turns experience into meaningful change. It starts before medicine work and persists. In integration sessions, we clarify experiences—images, emotions, insights, questions—to discover their significance and how to advance them.

Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration

If you are exploring psychedelics outside of formal clinical treatment—whether through legal psilocybin services, personal ceremonies, or other contexts—and are seeking therapeutic support to prepare thoughtfully and integrate your experience, I provide options specifically for you.

Harm reduction begins with recognizing that people make their own choices. Choices go better with accurate information, realistic expectations, and a trusted person to process with. I offer non-judgmental support for any psychedelic experience.

Integration support is available whether or not you've worked with me in preparation. If you've had a psychedelic experience — powerful, confusing, beautiful, difficult, or all of the above — and you're trying to make sense of it, I'm here for that conversation.

Who This Work Is For

KAP and psychedelic integration may be a good fit if you:

  • Have tried conventional therapy or medical approaches with limited results
  • Are open to exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness
  • Are willing to commit to the full arc of preparation and integration, not just medicine sessions
  • Are living with chronic pain, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or existential concerns
  • Are working with psychedelics in other contexts and want experienced therapeutic support

This work may not be appropriate if you have a personal or family history of psychosis, are currently in an acute mental health crisis, or are looking for a quick solution. We'll discuss candidacy honestly during our initial consultation.

Fees and Getting Started

Sessions are $200 per hour for all services, including preparation, medicine, and integration sessions. My billing service works with both in-network and out-of-network insurance, and coverage may apply to some sessions.
