About Paula
Maybe you look like you're doing fine on the outside, but inside you're exhausted. You may be carrying trauma from childhood, abuse, betrayal, loss, military service, first responder work, or experiences you thought you should have "moved past" by now. You might struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, relationships, emotional overwhelm, or patterns you understand intellectually but can't seem to change. Therapy asks a lot of people, especially when trusting others has not always felt safe. I don't expect you to trust me simply because I'm your therapist. Trust is something we build together over time.
My style is warm, direct, curious, and collaborative. I specialize in trauma and post-traumatic growth and draw from EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, IFS, and DBT based on what makes sense for you. Our work isn't only about reducing symptoms. It's about understanding what happened, recognizing how you learned to survive, and deciding what you want your life to look
I work especially well with people who are tired of white-knuckling their way through life and want to understand themselves on a deeper level. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation with no pressure or commitment.

Currently accepting new clients for NeuroFeedback only! Trauma isn't measured by what happened to you, it's measured by the internal impact left disrupting your wellbeing. I specialize in Trauma & Attachment therapy. My approach utilizes trauma interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), & Internal Family Systems (IFS) in combination with talk therapy and a strong relationship. Trauma can be a single event incident, childhood wounds from neglect and/or abuse, religious trauma, gender identity/LGBTQIA+ trauma and more. Those who suffer from trauma often struggle to control emotions, lack self-regulation, and face difficulties in relationships.
