My approach to counseling begins with collaboration. I believe that the counseling process should be collaborative between therapist and client, which is foundational to the process and the therapeutic alliance. The therapeutic alliance and its characteristics of attunement, empathy, non-judgment, and congruence is foundational to change. My therapeutic approach is guided by person-centered theory with an emphasis on attachment, strengths-based approach, and processing through core emotions and themes.
