Jaxon Shaffer
Accepting new clientsAbout Jaxon
I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist providing affirming therapy for adults, teens and couples throughout Oregon. I specialize in working with queer, trans, autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent clients, as well as those navigating trauma, OCD, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
Many of the people I work with have spent years masking parts of themselves, questioning whether they’re “too much,” or feeling misunderstood in relationships. Therapy offers a space to slow down, better understand yourself, and build a life that feels authentic rather than performative.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT for OCD), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). Rather than trying to change who you are, we’ll work together to understand your patterns, strengthen your relationships, and help you move toward the life you want.
Whether you’re exploring your gender identity, healing from trauma, navigating neurodivergence, strengthening your relationship, or simply trying to trust yourself more, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I offer both in-person therapy in Beaverton and secure telehealth appointments throughout Oregon.
