Hi, I'm Jessica! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in working with children, adolescents, and families. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, family services, and mental health, I am passionate about helping children feel understood, supported, and confident while empowering parents to build stronger, healthier relationships with their children.
I specialize in supporting children experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and challenging behaviors. I also work closely with parents who may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure how to best support their child's unique emotional and developmental needs.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and parent coaching. I believe that children's behaviors are often a way of communicating their needs, and meaningful change begins when children feel safe, connected, and understood.
I also have a strong passion for supporting culturally diverse families, particularly those navigating cultural expectations, intergenerational differences, and parenting challenges. I provide culturally responsive services in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where children can express themselves, parents feel supported, and families develop stronger connections. I believe therapy is not about changing who a child is, but helping children and families recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and grow together.
