About Ashley
Therapy for Anxiety, Self-Worth & Life Transitions in Oregon
You spend so much time trying to be who everyone else needs you to be. But somewhere along the way, you've lost touch with yourself.
Maybe you're constantly second-guessing your decisions, questioning whether you're doing enough, or wondering why everyone else seems to have things figured out while you feel stuck.
You might be the person who adapts to every situation, reads the room, and knows exactly what others need from you. But when it comes to knowing what you want, what you need, or even how you really feel, things get a little more complicated.
Maybe you've noticed that your emotions sometimes feel bigger than the situation calls for. Something small happens, and suddenly you're overwhelmed, shutting down, crying, or reacting in ways you don't fully understand. You might spend hours replaying conversations, criticizing yourself for how you responded, or wondering why you can't just let things go.
Or maybe you're navigating a season of change and realizing that the version of yourself you've worked so hard to become doesn't quite feel like you anymore.
You know you want something to change. You're just not entirely sure what that looks like yet.
And that's okay. You don't have to have it figured out before coming to therapy.
Finding Your Inner Anchor
Hi I'm Ashley!
When you've spent years looking outside yourself for reassurance, approval, or direction, learning to trust yourself can feel unfamiliar.
My approach to therapy focuses on helping you find your inner anchor. That steady place within yourself that you can return to, even when life feels uncertain, your emotions feel overwhelming, or you're questioning your next step.
I believe that so much of the work we do in therapy is about reconnecting with ourselves. Understanding what we feel, recognizing what we need, and learning to trust our own experiences rather than constantly looking outside ourselves for answers.
Together, we'll begin exploring the beliefs, expectations, and experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and respond to the world around you.
This might mean learning how to recognize and understand your emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. It might mean challenging the constant self-doubt, learning to set boundaries without guilt, or recognizing that your worth isn't determined by how much you accomplish or how happy you keep everyone else.
Through mindfulness, self-compassion, grounding, and building a sense of inner safety, I'll help you develop a stronger connection with yourself.
Not so you can become a completely different person, but so you can begin feeling more comfortable being who you already are.
What Therapy With Me Looks Like
I know therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're used to questioning yourself or worrying about what other people think. You might even find yourself wondering whether you're doing therapy "right."
I want you to know that you don't have to show up with the right words, a clear plan, or all the answers.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can slow down, be curious about your experiences, and begin understanding yourself without judgment or pressure to be anything other than who you are.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, self-doubt, and difficulties with emotional regulation.
I recognize that these experiences often overlap. Sometimes what looks like anxiety is connected to a fear of disappointing others. Sometimes low self-worth shows up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, or constantly comparing yourself to those around you. And sometimes emotions that feel overwhelming are connected to patterns you've developed over time without even realizing it.
Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, I want to help you understand what's underneath them.
Together, we'll work on building emotional awareness, developing healthier ways to respond to difficult feelings, strengthening your sense of self-worth, and learning to trust your own voice.
My goal isn't to help you become someone who never feels anxious, uncertain, or overwhelmed. It's to help you feel more grounded in yourself so those experiences don't have to determine how you move through life.
You Don't Have to Know Exactly Who You Are to Start Finding Yourself
Maybe you've spent so long doing what you think you should do that you haven't had much room to consider what actually feels right for you.
Maybe you're tired of questioning every decision, feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, or constantly wondering whether you're enough.
I believe you deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin, to trust yourself, and to make decisions based on what matters to you rather than what you think everyone else expects.
And I also know that getting there takes time.
You don't need to have a clear direction or know exactly what you want from therapy before we begin. Sometimes the first step is simply giving yourself permission to explore those questions.
I offer online therapy for adults throughout Oregon, providing a supportive space where we can work together to help you reconnect with yourself, build inner confidence, and begin creating a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
You deserve to feel secure in who you are, even when you're still figuring things out.
