Preparing for Divorce: A Decision-Making Workshop for Women - Tuesday, November 17

Preparing for Divorce: A Decision-Making Workshop for Women is a 90-minute educational and empowerment-focused workshop for women who are considering, preparing for, or navigating divorce.

Each workshop is a standalone session rather than an ongoing or regularly scheduled group. The workshop is offered several times throughout the month on varying dates and times, allowing women to attend the session that works best for them. No ongoing attendance or group commitment is required.

Women can enter divorce with very different levels of involvement in family finances, earning power, caregiving responsibility, and decision-making within their marriage. Some are navigating years outside the workforce or reduced employment while raising children; others are trying to understand assets, debts, insurance, retirement, or household finances they haven't historically managed. For some, coercive control, unequal decision-making, or concerns about their children's needs add another layer to an already complex process.

This workshop creates space to slow down and understand the decisions ahead before being expected to make them. Participants explore considerations related to property, finances, debt, parenting, support, insurance, taxes, and future planning while identifying their priorities and the questions they may need to bring to attorneys, financial professionals, or other members of their support team.

Participants receive a Divorce Decision-Making Workbook with guided prompts to organize information, identify priorities, consider parenting and family needs, and prepare for negotiation and professional conversations.

The goal is not to tell women what decisions to make, but to help them become informed, organized, and confident participants in decisions that will shape their lives and their children's lives after divorce.

This workshop is educational and strategic in nature and is not therapy or legal advice.
