First and foremost, I believe that developing an open, authentic, and trusting relationship with you is the single most important part of the counseling process. I also believe in getting to know you as a whole person and how you have come to understand your lived experiences; not just the problems that may be giving you trouble in life. Throughout that process I strive to create an atmosphere of authenticity, warmth, curiosity, and non-judgmental acceptance so you feel free sharing and exploring whatever is on your mind.
My approach is a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, neuro-affirming, and evidence-based style of attachment-based psychodynamic therapy that emphasizes:

1. Trusting the client as an expert of their own reality,
2. Joining the client in exploring the patterns through which they come to understand themselves, others, and the world, and
3. Seeking meaningful emotional experiences in a safe therapeutic relationship together.
