App Store — submission terms & license

Plain-English summary of what we accept, the limited license you grant us when you submit, how we use your contact info, and how to remove a listing later.

1. What we accept

The App Store is a curated showcase for products that genuinely help mental-health professionals or the clients they serve. We accept:

  • Apps (mobile, web, desktop) supporting clinical practice or self-care
  • Books, workbooks, courses, and CEU/continuing-education programs
  • Practice tools — intake forms, scheduling, billing add-ons, EHR integrations
  • Therapy aids — worksheets, card decks, biofeedback hardware
  • Wellness tools — meditation, journaling, regulation
  • Assessments & screeners with appropriate clinical grounding
  • Community / network platforms and supervision services

2. What we don't accept

  • MLM products, pyramid schemes, or affiliate-only landing pages
  • Supplements, nootropics, or wellness products lacking peer-reviewed clinical evidence
  • Anything that overstates clinical claims or violates ethical guidelines for the populations it serves
  • Content that includes hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Submissions where you don't have rights to the product, image, or description
  • Listings whose primary purpose is SEO backlink farming

We may reject any submission at our sole discretion and will email you a reason when we do.

3. Limited license you grant us

By submitting, you grant Oregon Providers Directory a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

  • Display your product title, tagline, description, hero image, screenshots, and any video link you provide on the App Store and related pages of orcounselors.com
  • Display the same content in our marketing emails, social media, and other promotional materials
  • Cache, resize, and re-encode your images for performance and responsive delivery
  • Cross-link your listing from other directory pages where it's contextually relevant

This license is revocable at any time — see Section 7. You retain all ownership rights to your product and content.

4. Outbound links + UTM tracking

When visitors click your product link from our showcase pages, we automatically append utm_source=orcounselors and utm_medium=app-store to help you track referral traffic in your own analytics. We do not modify your URL in any other way.

5. How we use your contact email

Your submitter email is not displayed publicly. We use it only to:

  • Notify you when your submission is approved, rejected, or needs changes
  • Send you the email-token edit link so you can update your listing later
  • Reach you in the rare case of a content concern raised by a third party

We will never sell, rent, or share your email with any other party. Full data handling lives in our Privacy Policy.

6. Editorial control

We may make minor edits to your title, tagline, or description for clarity, length, or formatting. Material edits (changes to claims, pricing, or category) will be communicated to you via your contact email before publishing.

7. Removing or updating a listing

You can update your listing at any time using the email-token edit link sent in your approval email. To remove a listing entirely, reply to that email or write to [email protected] from the same address you submitted with. Removals are processed within 5 business days.

Listings do not expire automatically — once approved they stay live until you remove them or we hide them for a policy violation.

8. No endorsement

A product appearing in the App Store is not an endorsement by Oregon Providers, our staff, or any provider listed on the directory. We make no clinical, medical, financial, or other claim about any submitted product. Visitors evaluate products at their own discretion.

9. Liability

You represent that you have rights to submit the product and that your submission does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right. You agree to indemnify Oregon Providers from any third-party claim arising from your submission. Our maximum liability for any claim related to a listing is limited to removing the listing.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the contact email on file for active submitters. Continued listing after a change constitutes acceptance.
