Something bad happened. An event has become a point in time where your life changed, and not for the better. You feel stuck in your trauma without any way out. Your nervous system has hijacked your happiness. Too often you feel anxious, angry or afraid. You may interact with the world, but sometimes it feels like you are just going through the motions. Or you might not be interacting with the world at all. You're completely shut down. You long to feel what other people must certainly feel: happiness, love, joy, and contentment. You survived and that's great! but you want more than that. You want to truly live!
