Talk therapy is highly effective, but for deep-rooted trauma, cognitive processing alone may not fully resolve the physiological symptoms of a dysregulated nervous system. This is where Somatic Experiencing (SE) becomes vital.
Somatic therapy focuses on the body's internal sensations (interoception) to safely release "stuck" survival energy. Rather than recounting traumatic events in detail, clients learn to track their physical responses in real-time, building capacity to tolerate discomfort and ultimately guiding the nervous system back to a state of safety and regulation.
